International Justice Mission (IJM) has appointed Vincent Chahale as the new country director for the Kenyan office.
IJM Regional President for Africa and Europe Andy Griffiths announced the appointment of Chahale through a press statement.
Chahale joined IJM Kenya in October 2020 leading the Justice System Interventions team for the Kenya Police Abuse of Power program with overall responsibility for developing strategies for collaborative casework to create systematic changes in Kenya’s Criminal justice system.
Chahale is also an advocate of the High Court of Kenya with over twenty years of experience in legal and advisory matters, leadership, performance management, mediation, and corporate governance.

International Justice Mission is a global organization that protects people in poverty from violence.
IJM Kenya launched 3 new gender desks in November last year to offer critical support to victims of violence in Mombasa, Kwale, and Kilifi Counties.
The container facilities, equipped with private interview and counseling rooms, provide a safe space for survivors to report cases, marking a significant step towards justice and protection in the region.
