A 22-year-old man from hailing from Nandi County has alleged that he was sexually assaulted by a 74-year-old woman in Mwabungo area in Kwale County.
The young man said he met the woman in Diani while looking for a job.
He says the lady promised him employment with a salary of KSh 200,000 and later took him to her home in Mwabungo.
He claims that once there, the elderly woman forced him to have sex with her, threatening to report him to the police on allegations of theft if he refused.
The following day, when he demanded the promised payment, the woman reported him at Diani Police Station, accusing him of stealing KSh 30,000 through her mobile phone.
Msambweni Sub-County Police Commander Robinson Lang’at said investigations are ongoing to establish whether a woman who received the money from the elderly woman’s phone has any connection to the young man.
He however noted that the man has not yet filed an official complaint regarding the alleged sexual assault.
